Background
The 61-year-old dilapidated Government Lower Primary School, Bhoganhalli, was in urgent need of renovation. With only four classrooms, including a two-classroom block built in 2006 and two very old classrooms, the school was unable to accommodate 180 students from 1st to 5th standard adequately. The school also lacked functional toilets, water supply, a separate staff room, and other basic amenities.
On request and collaboration with Inner Wheel Club IT Corridor, Bangalore and school staff, it was decided to demolish the old building and construct a modern facility to address overcrowding, hygiene, and infrastructure challenges, while ensuring long-term sustainability.
The project focused on providing modern, safe, and functional learning facilities for students and teachers:

Demolished old building and built a ground + two floors structure with 4 classrooms.

Sumadhura foundation extended 3 years maintenance support to the school after inauguration.

Inauguration: The project was inaugurated on June 18, 2024, in the presence of Mahadevapura MLA Mrs. Majulalimbavali, Sumadhura Directors, CSR team, and Inner Wheel Club members.
