As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focus on EducationSumadhura Group undertook the renovation of the Government Lower Primary School at Chikkanekkundi.
This initiative was brought forward by the Inner Wheel Club of Whitefield, and Sumadhura responded with immediate action—going beyond its committed budget to ensure quality, safety, and a positive learning environment.

“School is better than home.”
This phrase perfectly reflects the transformation seen at the Government Lower Primary School, Chikkanekkundi, where children’s outlook toward education changed dramatically after the Sumadhura Group’s renovation and maintenance initiative.

These improvements created a cheerful and inspiring space for students—turning the school into a place they love coming to every day.

Extended Maintenance & Educational Support

Sumadhura Group further committed to three years of school maintenance (March 2020 – April 2023).
Although the school remained closed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the support continued through:

  • 1. Recruitment of an English teacher to enhance language skills.
    2. Provision of breakfast and enriched mid-day meals for better nutrition.
    3. Distribution of white uniforms, fostering discipline and unity among children.
