Kadugodi Tree Park
Mahadevapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka
Inaugurated on April, 2021
Background
Whitefield, one of Bangalore’s fastest-growing urban hubs, has rapidly transformed into a dense concrete landscape with limited accessible green spaces for the community. With increasing urbanization, residents expressed a strong need for open, natural environments where they could relax, rejuvenate, and reconnect with nature. Addressing this community need, Sumadhura Group envisioned the development of a sustainable green space that would restore ecological balance while enhancing the quality of life.
In response, Sumadhura developed Kadugodi Park as a 22-acre “Breathing Zone” through the Sumadhura Foundation for the Whitefield community, creating and sustaining an urban forest ecosystem. The front portion of the park has been thoughtfully transformed into a vibrant recreational space, featuring a landscaped entrance and a uniquely designed artificial hill water fountain. This initiative not only provides a refreshing escape from the urban environment but also stands as a model for integrating nature within rapidly developing cityscapes.
