Blood donation Drives
Bangalore
Background
Every drop of blood has the power to save a life — and at Sumadhura, this belief has been deeply rooted in our culture of care and community responsibility. Recognising the continuous shortage of blood in hospitals and the urgent need for voluntary donors, Sumadhura Foundation took the initiative to organise regular blood donation drives, inspiring employees and families to come forward for this life-saving cause.
The journey began in 2014 with the first blood donation camp in collaboration with Rotary Club and TTK Blood Bank, setting the tone for a tradition of compassion and collective responsibility. The initiative continued in Hyderabad in subsequent years, including one organised on the birthday of our CMD, Mr. Madhusudhan G., on 29th August 2025, making the occasion truly meaningful by celebrating life through giving.
In partnership with Rotary Bangalore and TTK Blood Bank, Sumadhura Foundation mobilised its employees, their families, and residents across Sumadhura communities to participate in a large-scale Blood Donation and Stem Cell Registry Camp. A total of 95 donors volunteered to donate blood and 13 participants registered for stem cell donation, contributing to India’s growing stem cell registry to help cancer and thalassemia patients find potential matches. This initiative was also extended to the Sumadhura Folium project, where employees enthusiastically participated, reflecting a shared commitment to social responsibility. Each camp was conducted under stringent safety and medical supervision, ensuring a safe, efficient, and impactful donation process.
